No, there is no need to bring your tickets to the tour

Covid-19 measures and restrictions  in The Netherlands are so often changed by the Dutch government that is impossible to publish an up to date overview here. Please contact us if you want to have the latest news on this.

Your tickets are transferrable, so if you can’t use your tickets, feel free to give them to a friend to use. Please remind to inform us beforehand on any change in dietary restrictions there might be.

We strongly advise against coming by car. Parking is expensive and finding a spot will be difficult. The Amsterdam city center is designed to discourage cars as much as possible. Amsterdam and Dutch public transport is efficient, safe, reliable and affordable. It is also easy to get a taxi or an Über.

Children are of course very welcome on our tours. Our guides effortlessly tweak the tour to make it fun for them too, and many of the tastings are a real kids’ favorite like pancakes and apple pie! On a private tour we can even stop briefly at one of the many playgrounds in the Jordaan so that they can relax there.

And it is really special to book a walking food tour combined with a private canal cruise on a luxury boat. The children will have a great time on board while you can relax and admire the most beautiful canals in Amsterdam. Feel free to ask us for more information!

Absolutely not! This tour combines architectural commentary, historical facts, local culture and culinary insight into a unique experience. Imagine walking through the city eating our local artisans most delicious foods while learning the neighborhoods from real locals.

The tour is suitable for most allergies and dietary restrictions but unfortunately not for vegans and those with a lactose intolerance. You can state your dietary restrictions during the booking process and if in doubt, please contact us.

Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.

We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a good chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please email us to let us know what date you are interested in if you do not see availability.

Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the Dutch service industry is around 10%.

Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations.

The tours will always take place, no matter what the weather, except when the Dutch meteorological Institute has given out a warning for severe and dangerous weather (code orange or red). In this case we will of course offer you a full refund.

If you use an assistive device such as a Zimmer frame or a walker, or if you use a wheelchair or mobility scooter the tours are not suited to you. However, if you contact us, we will gladly discuss the possibilities for a private, customized tour for you

We most certainly do! We regularly organize tours for private groups from 1 to 50 persons. So please contact us to discuss the options.

Even though we will provide you with a drink at several stops, it is always a good idea to bring along a bottle of water. You will also be tasting food in shops like a baker’s, a butcher’s and a delicatessen shop and you may want to buy a couple of items there as well, so a back or small rucksack may come in handy.
